Reviews

The reviews on this site is from the five days courses we ran last year. If you wish to dig deeper into self sufficiency you have the possibility to join all five summer courses and we will help you find the right accomodation nearby if you don't have a place to stay.

I knew almost nothing about the self-sufficiency when I arrived here, but I was really curious about it as nobody I knew could tell me how to make my own ice cream or why the bread is not rising so well.

During the course the family took me through the whole process that is actually enclosed into a very logic cycle of traditional and forgotten crafts. If you are interested in making your own milk products such as cheese or yogurt, or you plan breeding animals for meat but do not know how to transform it into a meal, now you have a chance to find it out.

After the five-days of pretty intensive course I feel not just full of knowledge but also highly motivated for the self-sufficient life style.

During my stay I was treated as a member of the family and I felt like home from the very beginning. The whole impression of being here was upgraded by homemade food including products I had done on my own, and I highly recommend the course to everyone who wants to avoid buying the poor-quality food provided in supermarkets. And these awesome people will tell you how to achieve it.

I spent five days in the dark north Jutland (Wintertime) and enjoyed every second of it. I had to travel all the way from Bornholm but Charlotte and Anders organized everything for me, food, accommodation and travel.

I took the dairy, smoking, sausage making, gardening and I cut up a full pig. I’m a chef by trade but it was fun to get into a full pig again. It’s something you don’t get to do a lot.

These guys are true believers in self-sufficiency and by the time they are fully finished with this project, it will be a true gem of the north.

People travel from all over the world  to stay at this farm and I can only recommend it as an entry to your bucket list. You won’t regret it.
