The selfsufficiency school is founded by a couple who has been increasingly selfsufficient for the past 9 years. We have focused on producing and processing as much of our food as possible. We now have two small kids on 4 and 2,5 years and it is a great pleasure to know that the food we give them is produced on this farm and that we know exactly what it consists of.

We wish to pass our knowledge on to people who wish to become more selfsufficient. In a world where most of the food we can buy has been produced - not for the sake of taste and our health - but for the sake of the easiest and cheapest way to earn money we believe it is of great importance that people again gain knowledge about our food and realise that we can actually make all of it ourselves. We can decide to copy the produce we can buy in the supermarkets - and make them 10 times better - or we can broaden our horizon and invent all new produce that the industry has pushed aside because they simply were not cheap enough to handle and required too much work. Over the years we have discovered many good old recipes with ingredients from nature we don't know of anymore and the final product of high quality and something you can't find anywhere today.

We think it is important that so many people as possible have the access to the knowledge of selfsufficiency,  which is our main reason for starting up the selfsufficiency school.

It is about time that we set ourselves free from industry and supermarkets and become active in what we consume in our daily life.



Personally we believe that one of the most precious gifts we can give our children is the knowledge of how to take care of themselves. To know that whatever happends in their life they will have a basic knowledge and some important skills they can benefit from so they are able to feed themselves in a natural way.



One of us is educated butcher and has worked many years as superviser for the delicatesse departments in supermarkets and taught butchers to make sausages. The other is educated tailor and designer and has always had the interest in making own things and knowing where our food comes from. Both has since young produced own food products and during the years gained a lot of knowledge in many fields regarding growing crops, processing and producing food.
